Caring for your skin over summer

Sssh, I dont want to say it too loudly, but the sun is out and fingers crossed it will stay for a while. Being in the UK, we often overlook the importance of taking care of our skin in the sunshine, but even on cloudy days, it is so important to protect our skin from the suns rays. knowing the basics: UVA is the longest wavelength of the sun and penetrates the deepest layer of the skin, known as the dermis. UVA damage can promote skin ageing. UVB penetrates the upper layer of the epidermis and can cause sunburn, skin cancers and allergic reactions. UVC are filtered by the ozone layer, however they are the most damaging rays. Infra-red is …

Ways to wear eyeliner

If theres one make-up product that I always wear, its eyeliner. It can change the way your eyes look, making them bigger, or more defined, or make the whites of your eyes sparkle. Ways to wear eyeliner: Liquid liner Liquid liner is by far the most dramatic of the eyeliners. It can add a lot of definition to the lashes and eyes by making the lashes look thicker. Christmas make-up

Tis the season… Every year, I hope for new trends and most years I am disappointed that the same styles are regurgitated. Finally, this year is a little different and its dark, very dark! Vampy lips are my favourite trend this season and they are not your standard deep reds. Im talking deep berry colours, the darkest you can find. Plums colours are amazing as are blackcurrant. Team this with a nude eye and plenty of mascara with perhaps even a soft brown eyeshadow. The lips need to be the focus for this. TIP: Dark lipstick colours are much more flattering with a little bit of gloss applied, nothing too overboard. Just a little applied to the bottom lip and …
