A few weeks ago I got asked to do the hair and make-up for Una Healy (previously of The Saturdays), along with her husband Ben Foden, for JD Sports.
Una is obviously incredibly beautiful which made by job a billion times easier at the crazy start time of 6am.
I’v had a few clients ask me for the products I used to create the look so I will list them at the bottom along with a little tutorial.
Its important to point out that Una has a great skincare regime. This was apparent from the moment I met her. We spoke briefly about this and there are no new tricks here, just good old fashion cleansing and removing of makeup, mixed with drinking plenty of water and trying to be as healthy as practical/possible.
I should begin by saying that this was for a fitness campaign. Una was going to be spending some of her time that morning, running, so the makeup and hair needed to be fairly natural and have the ability to stay for the whole duration.
Una had already prepped her skin using some of her favourite products and did a very light base of foundation. I then added a little of my favourite products on top too. We used Chanel Vita Lumiére as it has a beautifully light coverage that can be built to your desire.
I wanted to use mainly cream products for Una’s skin as we really wanted to create a look that was healthy and could withstand the exercise. We also used Chanel Full Coverage concealers for her very very minimal problem areas. I chose a rose/brown cream blush from Mac to apply to the apples of her cheeks, applied very lightly.
We did very minimal contour as again, we didnt want the look to appear over the top or dramatised in any way.
For eyes I chose to use a range of colours from Charlotte Tilbury and Too Faced. The base colour was from Transform eyes and was the top right colour in the quad. This had a beautiful golden glow and really made Una’s green eyes stand out. I used Hazelnut from Too Faced’s Chocolate palette in the crease of her eye socket and on her lower lash line and finished off with Maybellines gel eyeliner in black and a pop of the highlighter shade from Transformeyes on the inner corners of Unas eyes.
For lips, Una had a very lovely lip oil that we used to create something super healthy and beautiful. The overall look was then sealed on with Urban Decays Up All Nighter Setting Spray. The look did not budge for the whole time and nothing needed to be reapplied. Yay!
