Obviously, I love a good wedding. I especially love it when the bride and groom are as sweet and as perfect for each other and Lisa and her fiancé Tom.
I met Lisa a little over a year ago in London for a consult. Where she very sweetly paid for my Uber taxi when I got stranded on the underground. Unfortunately for me, the handle on my suitcase decided that it didn’t want to be attached to the suitcase anymore, and they mutually agreed to part ways, while I was on the London underground.
Lisa has some great ideas about how she wanted her hair and make-up to look and as usual, I arrived armed with some of my favourite looks to recreate. Also, if I remember correctly, Lisa also presented me with some cake, which obviously, is the way to my heart.
We decided to create something elegant with a little twist for Lisa’s hair. Lisa knew that she wanted to incorporate a braid in to the look somehow so we created a fishtail running through the side of her hair going in to a chignon at the base of her neck. Leaving a sweeping soft fringe at the front to frame her face.
Lisa’s staple make-up in her daily routine is a beautiful emerald green eyeliner to line her lower waterline, so we knew that we wanted to keep that for the big day. To glam it up slightly, we added some individual false lashes and a soft pink eyeshadow on her lid. Lisa has great skin so we wanted to keep her face looking fresh and dewy with a beautiful Face and Body foundation by Mac in N1. This has a very sheer coverage that is build-able and gives a wonderful dewy glow. Adding a few drops of highlighter to the cheekbones and cupids bow really set off this look. This was finished by applying a pretty pink Mac lipstick in Lustering.
Finally, a little spritz of Make-up Forevers Fix n’ Mist was used to seal all of the make-up and keep Lisa tear proof, kiss proof and rain proof.
I caught up with Lisa last week to see some of her wedding photos and both Lisa and her new husband Tom look absolutely perfect. The weather was beautiful, the guests arrived and Lisa Varrow became Mrs Lisa Bennett.
Many happy returns to you both!
