Securing Services
The booking of the event is only reserved once the client has paid a non-refundable deposit to the Makeup Artist. The deposit is £50 – this is required to secure the event. The event will not be secured until the initial deposit is paid. Arranging a trial does not reserve the Makeup Artist’s services for the event. All wedding events are subject to a £350 per day minimum spend, excluding travel costs. Travel costs are paid per artist on the booking. Trials must be paid for at the scheduled trial date in cash or bank transfer 7 days before, made payable to your artist. The client can cancel a trial at any point, however a trial cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will be charged for at the agreed rate.
Payment
Payments can be made by card or via bank transfer, cheques will not be accepted. The non-refundable deposit of £50 paid by the client is taken off the final balance.
The non-refundable booking fee covers my non-recoverable costs which includes but is not limited to:
- administration work towards the wedding date including; time scheduling for the wedding day,
- email correspondence
- phone conversations
- reservation of the wedding date in my calendar
The final balance is to be paid in full by the client seven days (7) before the event. Failure to pay the fee within the stated time will result in the event being cancelled by the Makeup Artist, unless previously agreed with your artist.
All services are final and confirmed once they have been added to my diary. If the agreed services are reduced, the total amount quoted will remain the same and no refund will be offered should the change occur less than 4 weeks before your wedding date.
Responsibility of the client
The client shall inform the makeup artist of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. The makeup artist cannot be held liable for any losses or damage that is incurred due to the client’s failure to inform the artist of any known condition
The makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members the party for, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behaviour.

Cancellations
At any point the Client can cancel the event by informing the Makeup Artist and your artist in writing.
The Makeup Artist will be under no obligation to refund any money paid up until point of cancellation.
Wedding day bookings cancelled within six weeks of the date will incur the following cancellation fee:
• 8 weeks notice: 50% of the outstanding balance as agreed at the trial run.
• 6 to 8 weeks notice: 75% of the outstanding balance as agreed at the trial run.
• less than 6 weeks notice: 100% of the outstanding balance as agreed at the trial run.
The Client can cancel a trial at any point, however a trial cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will be charged for at the agreed rate. Cancellations by the Makeup Artist due to circumstances including, but not limited to, problems rendering the performance of their obligations and where no other suitable alternative can be given will result in a refund to the client. No further compensation will be offered.
If the Client has to cancel their wedding due to the government closing the agreed wedding venue due to unforeseen circumstances, then a deposit refund may be given. However, if the Client decides to cancel but they’re still legally allowed to get married then the deposit will be non-refundable.
If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of the Makeup Artist, every possible endeavour to rectify such situations will be made, however no compensation will be offered on the Makeup Artist’s part. The Client is strongly advised to take out wedding insurance to cover against such situations.
Exclusivity
Exclusivity is not guaranteed for the whole day of the event, therefore timings will be seriously considered when agreeing to any booking. It is unlikely that there will be another event on the day; and any second event undertaken by the makeup artist will not affect the first event. An exclusivity fee can be arranged if preferred.
