Recently I got asked to do the hair and make-up for Una Healy and her lovely partner for a JD Sports event.
The crazy early start time of 6am was made easier by Una being incredibly beautiful and easy to work with.
Skincare
Firstly, it is important to point out that Una has a great skincare regime and it was wonderfully apparent. We spoke briefly about this. There are no new tricks here, just good old fashion cleansing and removing of makeup. Mixed with drinking plenty of water and trying to be as healthy as practical/possible.
I should begin by saying that this was for a fitness campaign. Una was going to be spending some of her time that morning running. The makeup and hair needed to be fairly natural and have the ability to stay for the whole duration.
Skin prep
Una had already prepped her skin using some of her favourite products and did a very light base of foundation, as a result, we simply we added a little of my go to products on top. We decided to use Chanel Vita Lumiére as it has a beautifully light coverage that can be built to your desire.
I wanted to use mainly cream products for Una’s skin as we really wanted to create a look that was healthy and could withstand the exercise. Chanel Full Coverage concealer was used for the very minimal problem areas and it did the job perfectly. I chose a rose/brown cream blush from Mac to apply to the apples of her cheeks, applied very lightly.
We did very minimal contour as again, we didnt want the look to appear over the top or dramatised in any way.
For her eyes
For eyes I chose to use a range of colours from Charlotte Tilbury and Too Faced. The base colour was from Transform eyes and was the top right colour in the quad. This had a beautiful golden glow and really made Una’s green eyes stand out. I used Hazelnut from Too Faced’s Chocolate palette in the crease of her eye socket and on her lower lash line and finished off with Maybellines gel eyeliner in black and a pop of the highlighter shade from Transformeyes on the inner corners of Unas eyes.
For lips, Una had a very lovely lip oil that we used to create something super healthy and beautiful. Afterwards, Urban Decays Up All Nighter Setting Spray was used to set the makeup and keep it in place all day!
