Destination Wedding Hair And Makeup Artist In Provence

In May, I was lucky enough to be flown out once again to beautiful Provence, France, to do the hair and makeup for Naomi Ross and her bridal party. The booking was a little last-minute due to a few changes in plans. I’m so glad I was able to make it work – and get everyone ready in the stunning French sunshine. It was my first wedding in the area and we were at the stunning Blanche Fleur. This venue has since become one of my most frequented destination wedding venues.

I absolutely love being a destination wedding hair and makeup artist in France. It gives me the opportunity to meet amazing people, work in gorgeous venues, and (try to!) practice my French in real settings.

The Team

I was booked by Holly from Wonderlust Events, who specialises in destination weddings. She was an absolute dream to work with. If you’re ever planning your own destination wedding in Provence, I can’t recommend her enough. The ever-talented Jack Henry was the photographer, and as you can tell from the images, he’s amazing.

The Trial

Before the big day, Naomi and I managed to squeeze in a hair and makeup trial while she was in the UK finalising some details. She had sent me a few ideas in advance, including the option of using clip-in hair extensions for her destination wedding hairstyle.

Initially, Naomi thought a high ponytail might be perfect. After trying it at the trial, neither of us was completely convinced. Thankfully, Naomi’s makeup style ideas matched my own perfectly. Soft, radiant, and timeless – which is so important when booking a destination wedding hair and makeup artist.

We wanted a sun-kissed glow, and since Naomi already had beautiful natural warmth to her skin, that part was easy! I used one of my favourites – The Body Shop bronzer, mixed with foundation – to enhance her glow naturally.

The Big Day

On the wedding morning, we revisited the idea of clip-in extensions. After a quick chat in the bathroom(and a strong opinion from me!), we decided on a simple, elegant bun instead. It turned out to be the perfect choice. Relaxed, classic, and completely in tune with Naomi’s look and the Provence wedding vibe. As a wedding hair and makeup artist, I promise I will always give my opinion if you are unsure of something. I’m really glad that I gave my opinion so that Naomi and I could relax. Knowing that the style we’d chosen was something we were both happy with.

The day ran seamlessly thanks to an amazing team:

I feel so lucky to call this my job. Being a destination wedding makeup artist and helping brides feel beautiful in breathtaking locations like Provence is truly a dream.
