Wedding season is in full swing, and as I reach the halfway point of 2024. I’m so happy to start receiving beautiful images from some of my brides.
Recently, I had the pleasure of travelling to Monmouthshire, deep in the stunning Welsh countryside. To work on one of the most unique venues I’ve ever visited – a flower farm! Yes, really — I spent the day surrounded by blooms at Far Hill Flowers, and it was just magical.
The Bride
Beautiful bride Ellie contacted me about a year before her big day to ask if I would travel across Wales to get her, her mum Justine (the incredible florist behind Far Hill Flowers), and her bridesmaids ready for her wedding to Tom.
It was the perfect Welsh wedding setting – relaxed, natural, and full of colour.
The Makeup
Ellie wanted a soft, natural look for her bridal makeup – glowing skin, subtle eyes, and a hint of romantic warmth. We kept the complexion fresh with a natural radiance and added soft, cool-toned gold and brown tones around the eyes to make them stand out beautifully.
As always, I recommend that brides choose a lipstick they love so they can easily touch up throughout the day. Ellie’s final look was effortless, timeless, and very her – the epitome of natural wedding makeup in Wales.
The Hair
As a wedding hair stylist in Wales, I love creating looks that reflect both the person and the atmosphere of their wedding day. For Ellie’s outdoor Monmouthshire wedding, we went for a slightly boho, relaxed hairstyle. This complemented her makeup and the flower-farm setting perfectly.
Her mum, Justine, designed the most stunning flower combs, so we chose a soft half-up style that showed off the blooms beautifully. The result was romantic, lived-in, and perfectly suited to an outdoor garden celebration.
This Monmouthshire wedding was such a joy to be part of – full of personality, flowers, and family love.
