Wedding Hair and Makeup Expert – Bristol Life

What’s your process for getting to know a bride’s personal style before the big day?

Getting to know my brides is honestly one of my favourite parts of both the trial and the wedding morning. It’s such a special time to connect and understand who they are – not just how they want to look.

I always start by making sure our styles and personalities align, because we’ll be spending such an important day together. I love learning about the little details like what makes a bride smile, her favourite music, how she feels about makeup, and what kind of look she dreams of for her wedding day. Those conversations help me create something truly personal and authentic.

How and why did you get involved in the wedding industry?

It actually happened quite by accident! I originally started out as a wedding singer and actress, and when I moved to LA to study drama, I often ended up doing hair and makeup for our shows and other actors’ headshots.

Somewhere along the way, I realised how much I loved it. When I came back to the UK, I began assisting other makeup artists while still performing at weddings, but before long, my makeup work completely took over. That’s when I decided to focus full-time on bridal hair and makeup, and I’ve never looked back.

How would you describe your signature style?

My signature style is natural, glowing, and timeless. I focus on enhancing a bride’s features rather than changing them.

To me, bridal makeup should make you look like you, just the most confident, radiant version. I love creating soft, luminous looks that still feel effortless years later when you look back at your photos.

What’s your number one piece of advice for brides choosing their makeup artist?

Do your research and find someone who truly aligns with your vision, both in style and personality.

There are so many talented artists out there, but it’s important to find someone whose work reflects what you want for your day. For example, if cruelty-free beauty or natural skin finishes matter to you, choose an artist who shares those values.

I also think an up-to-date social media presence and professional website say a lot. It shows care, consistency, and passion for what they do.

I’d love to chat about your wedding hair and makeup!
