As the world gets more and more confusing, let’s take things back to a more simple time. This weekend I created a 5 minute makeup tutorial using 5 products. The full tutorial can be found here.
Before applying this makeup look, applying a good skincare routine is ideal. One can be found here and you can see the final results in my portfolio.
My go-to foundation is The Ordinary Foundation Serum. The coverage is light but buildable and allows for the subtle glow that I love. If possible, apply this without a brush. It is definitely a little messier but the coverage is so much better when you use your fingers.
The concealer that I used in the tutorial was a Sephora concealer gel. However, this is a little hard to get in the UK. Another great concealer is Ilia serum concealer. It’s creamy but fairly lightweight, allowing for buildable coverage and doesn’t sit in to creases.
For the blush, eye shadow and lips, I used one product. I am a big fan of multi-use products. I tend to do a lot fo weddings in other countries so it is really important for me that I am able to travel light. Glossier Cloud paint is perfect for this. In the video, the colour is Storm and can be found here. Simply apply a small amount to the back of your hand and apply to the apples of your cheeks, lips and apply a tiny amount to your eyelids.
For the highlight, I love Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Primer. Added to the top of your cheekbones, under the brow bone, down your nose and across the cupids bow of your lip, gives a subtle, hydrated look.
Finally, I applied a mascara to my top and bottom lashes and fini!! I love this 5 minute makeup tutorial and I hope you do too.
