Anna’s wedding in Marylebone.A Bridal Hair and Makeup Story Full of Familiar Faces
Some weddings feel extra special, not just because of the day itself, but because of the people involved. Anna’s wedding in Marylebone was exactly that – a beautiful London celebration surrounded by familiar faces I’ve had the pleasure of working with over the years.
A Bridal Journey That Came Full Circle
My connection with Anna’s family actually began over a decade ago, when I first did the makeup for her sister Georgia at the very start of her modelling career. Since then, I’ve also worked with their cousin on her wedding in Bath. So being invited back again for Anna’s big day felt incredibly meaningful.
These are the kinds of relationships that make being a wedding hair and makeup artist so special. Watching families grow and being trusted again and again for such important moments.
The Bridal Trial in Bristol
Before the wedding, Anna came to my apartment in central Bristol for her bridal trial, along with her mum. We spent the afternoon exploring different ideas for both hair and makeup, chatting through inspiration, and refining her vision.
It was relaxed, creative, and honestly just a really lovely way to start the journey together. By the end of the trial, we had created a look that felt completely aligned with Anna’s style: fresh, polished, and effortlessly elegant.
A Fresh, Modern Bridal Look
For Anna’s bridal makeup, the brief was all about freshness and glow. We used Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow paired with Beautiful Skin foundation to create a luminous, skin-focused base.
A cream blush was added to keep the complexion soft and radiant, and we finished the eyes with a gently blended eyeliner for subtle definition without harshness. The overall effect was clean, modern, and naturally glowing, it was perfect for a London wedding.
Her bridal hair was styled into a classic French twist, but kept modern and structured with no loose face-framing pieces. It felt timeless and chic, complementing the elegance of the day beautifully.
The Wedding Morning in Marylebone, London
I arrived on a sunny Saturday morning in Marylebone to a wonderfully warm welcome. Anna’s stepdad kindly offered to keep an eye on my car due to the parking restrictions, which instantly set the tone for how thoughtful and relaxed the morning would be.
Anna’s mum, Tereza, had also prepared pastries and tea, which made everything feel calm and homely – the perfect start to a wedding morning.
One of the highlights of the day was reconnecting with Georgia after ten years. Moments like that really remind me how long I’ve been lucky enough to work in this industry and how many lives and milestones overlap along the way.
A Wedding Full of Familiarity and Joy
There was something incredibly special about being surrounded by people I already knew in different stages of their lives. Anna and Georgia spoke so warmly, and the whole morning felt like a natural continuation of years of shared experiences.
It was a reminder of how personal bridal hair and makeup really is – not just about the final look, but about trust, familiarity, and connection.
