Being a destination wedding hair and makeup artist means that I get to travel. Before lockdown I was lucky enough to be flown to Wicklow (and Bray) in Ireland for Mandy’s wedding. It was honestly the most peaceful weekend and the most calm wedding that I have had the privilege to be part of.
Mandy and I met a few months prior at her friends wedding in Bristol where Mandy was a bridesmaid. The lovely Mandy lives in Texas with her Irish husband and they wanted to have a traditional Irish wedding.
Mandy does not like too much makeup or ‘fuss’ with her hair so we kept everything very simple. We used the day when she was a bridesmaid as a trial. However, it was many months ago and without images, my mind is a little hazy on what style we had. Mandy, of course was more than happy for me to create something different on the day and we were really pleased with the outcome.
Unfortunately, as I was leaving the venue, I fell over and smashed my phone, resulting in me losing most of the images that I had taken that morning. However, 2 survived and they can be found on my instagram.
Mandy was so kind to ask me to do her hair and makeup and also her sisters hair and makeup.
